Gallery: Other Columns

Below are some more photographs of men from the other columns. Most of these pictures are taken from well known books on the subject of operation Longcloth (see the book list on the Sources page). The vast majority of the images below show the men who led or were part of the columns, mainly made up of Gurkha Riflemen. Also shown are some of the RAF officers involved with Air supply on operation Longcloth in 1943. And you might also notice the two Victoria Cross recipients quietly placed amongst the personnel shown.
